This year holds so much in store, and since I’m moving farther away from using Tumblr as my main platform, I’d love it if you would come FOLLOW ME on Instagram instead! I am still always happy to answer questions and take requests for posts there, and it gives me a much more flexible way to post content 🌸🎊
Two very odd and interesting images of Aset-Serqet
Today I found an article named “Hededyt : Isis-scorpion et Isis au scorpion. En marge du Papyrus de Brooklyn 47.218.50 – III.” and there I found two curious images of my Mother Aset-Serqet. The images itself were very simple with no details, so I decided to make it myself! (I did a few changes and didn’t draw the crocodiles).
The text on this images said:
“This is evident from a representation engraved on a magical stall 9402 of the Cairo Museum. Isis with the scorpion is figured twice, simultaneously. The first effigy, described as “great magic, lady of Ro-nefer”, is that of a two-headed woman mounted on a crocodile. She holds a snake in one hand, on the other a papyriform scepter surmounted by an erect cobra. The distinctive attributes of the scorpion goddess are reflected in the hairstyle, where, on both sides of the solar globe, two scorpions descend.
The second representation is that of a woman having, strange and inexplicable detail, legs of antelope or bovine. Mounted on a crocodile, holding a long snake with each hand, she has the name Isis << great of magic, mother of the god, lady of Ro-nefer >> And her distinctive emblem is again the passing scorpion, both visible between the Hathor-horns encircling the disc resting on the modius and, especially, the back of the vulture-like wig of which it seems to emerge.“ (Sorry about my bad french translation)
The hieroglyphs say "Aset-Serqet” (but If I wrote it wrong, I’d love if someone can correct me)
… okay so here’s the official video everyone! i look like i’m about to die the whole time, but PLEASE keep in mind it was my 5th day back in class, and i had barely danced all summer due to lack of classes where i live, so yeah, here you go anyways ;)
